Henkel Smile – corporate citizenship at Henkel
The Henkel Smile project of the 2009 IIHF World Championship

You have taken part in the survey and chosen SOS Children’s Villages as the Henkel Smile project of the 2009 IIHF World Championship! Thus you are supporting SOS Children’s Villages.

Henkel is using the 2009 IIHF World Championship event as a vehicle to raise awareness of the SOS Children’s Villages project. In addition, Henkel will donate 50 euros for every goal which is shot at the event. Spectators in the stadium can also actively make a contribution to a good cause: with their signature on a Henkel Smile Fan T-shirt, which is worth one euro each.

The amount donated will be updated every day, and will be published as the “Henkel Smile Donation Indicator” on the Website every day starting on April 25, 2009.

Henkel is committed to its corporate social responsibility. It is firmly anchored in its corporate values and company history. Henkel has bundled all the various initiatives on behalf of society which go above and beyond its normal business operations, commonly known as international corporate citizenship, under the umbrella name “Henkel Smile”.
The Henkel Smile program is quite diverse. It reflects the slogan of the company, “Henkel – A Brand like a Friend”. Henkel has made it the company’s business to particularly provide support to relief projects benefitting children and youth.
